According to the tradition, our yearly Symfoni Collaboration Forum was once again a success. This year the Forum was held in Tallinn, and the Nordic users had two days of existing and inspiring lectures and customer cases, as well as exchange of experiences and social gatherings.

Around 100 Nordic users participated on the Symfoni Collaboration Forum in Tallinn the 2. and 3. of June this year. As the previous years, the program was quite extensive, with at least 25 different lectures. Symfoni was also able to present two new applications, both the Request application and the new Sales Support.

Several customers held lectures in order to share their experience regarding the use of different solutions in the Symfoni Suite. Carsten Munksgaard from TrygVesta told us about how they use Symfoni Invoice Manager and the advantages the solution has given them in matters of control and the handling of invoices. Helena Olsson talked about the challenges Karlstad municipal have had with presenting extensive information in an intuitive way on the municipal’s web site. FTZ, a Danish company which is part of the Hella Group with more than 750 employees, was represented by Mads Andersen from the IT department. He told about why they chose to use OpenOffice instead of Microsoft Office and how this change was dealt with internally, as well as the advantages it has given the organisation.

Inngang Maikrahv

The social part started with entertainment by Eddie Skoller Monday afternoon. Eddie Skoller is a well known name to most Scandinavians, with a long career as entertainer. He has done it all, everything from writing his own shows to participating in musicals such as Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar, to leading his own TV shows in the Nordics. Eddie did not let us down in Tallinn either, with a one hour show with both musical and humoristic parts. It seemed like the audience liked what they saw. The evening continued with a guided tour in the ancient city of Tallinn, where we got a brief introduction to the history of the city. After the tour we had dinner on Maikrahv, one of the most famous restaurants of Tallinn. During the meal one of the employees at the restaurant entertained the joyful party.

We would like to thank all the participants that helped us create two wonderful and inspiring days. For those who missed the Forum, we want to welcome you to the 12th spring seminar in a year’s time. For those wanting to update themselves on the lectures, most of these will be available on ‘Min side’. Log in with username and password, and you will find them under ‘Brukerforum’ on the menu line.

Last, but not least we want to wish all of you a nice summer!
