Symfoni Software AS and Mandator AB aim to conquer the swedish collaboration market together.
(Oslo 2. november 2006) Symfoni Software AS and the largest consultant company within IBM Software in Sweden, the stock exchange quoted company Mandator AB, have started to cooperate to win the swedish collaboration market. Mandator AB has taken over 49% of the shares in the Swedish Symfoni associated company "Svensk Collaboration Software AB", and brings in distribution, IBM Software sales and a present support across the swedish market. This gives Symfoni an optimal market position in Sweden.
The software company Symfoni Software AS is today the largest supplier of collaboration applications in the North. The company strategy is to work together with the largest local actors on IBM software in the given Nordic country to obtain a strong position. In Denmark, Symfoni Software has a similar cooperation with Key2Know As.
Mandator AB is the largest IBM Software partner in Sweden, and has this autumn won several considerable clients on Symfoni solutions, like Getinge, Coca Cola and Karlstad Kommun, and has more large customers in the pipeline.
The Swedish Symfoni company expects an annual turnover of 20 million SEK in 2007, -a great contribution on the way to reach Symfoni's goal to obtain 150 millions in 2008.
The number of users in Sweden has increased without Symfoni represented with its own company, but with the help of its 6 partners and Danish associated company. Now, there will be a much greater focus on Symfoni and built a solid distribution operation in a market where Symfoni has almost no competition.
-In Sweden we have a great potential, says Bjørn Jarl, CEO. -Our main target group is companies from 50 employees and more, across all sectors and branches. In Sweden, the collaboration market has shown signs of customised solutions, - now we are arriving with our complete solutions which just needs configuration to fit in. This is much more reasonable, more secure and we have all reasons to believe that this will fit the Swedish market well, Bjørn Jarl continues.
The Symfoni corporation bases its future conduct on a mix between acquisition, organic growth and cooperation. The company has today potential target companies for the further progress.
Symfoni Software has in total 25 partners in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Outside the North, the company has partners in Austria, Holland, Germany and Iceland.
The corporation follows IBM's strategies within technological direction. IBM represents world leading middleware within collaboration. Symfoni aims to be the Nordic leader on content applications within Collaboration.
