Overview –Quick and efficient
A quick and simple overview of relevant colleagues is saving you a considerable amount of time in your daily work. Symfoni Global Calendar is a complete elaboration of the functionality in the existing Group Calendar of Lotus Notes. With this tool your company gets a quick and easy understandable overview in all views like the personal calendar for one day, one week or one month. It is also possible to show the calendar in various alternative graphical pictures, and you can create a new calendar entry directly from Global Calendar to be synchronized with the personal calendar.

• Calendar overview: Create an overview of the company and its department or specific peoples work assignments, reservations and resources.
• Resource overview:Create a collective overview of the people in a department including rooms and equipment and so forth.
• Graphical overview: You have the opportunity to view a graphical Gantt overview of the day and the week.
• Holiday Planning: See a graphical picture of the holiday planning in your organisation.
• Integration with Instant Messaging: In Symfoni Global Calendar you see individual colleagues’ availability in Instant Messaging. The full integration with Instant Messaging (Sametime) gives the user the possibility of even quicker planning of meetings, exchange of information etc.
• Individuals monitor views: The individual user can define his/her private group calendar view. It is easy to erase or add a person e.g. in connection with project groups.
• View in different languages: The individual user can choose which language Global Calendar is to be shown on his or hers pc. If you need a completely new language to be available, it is easily created without programming.
• Global Calendar on more than one location: Large companies with several locations can choose to run Global Calendar in several versions on the same server, or gather entries from Global Calendars on several servers into one. Thus, the administrator can choose which persons and/or groups who are to be shown in which group calendar.
• What is public and what is personal: Global Calendar respects the ACL lists and thus it is a precondition that Global Calendar is assigned the necessary rights to read the appointments which are to be shown. In this way Global Calendar can be used as standard »filter«, so that public readers access the individual personal calendars can be avoided.

Independent of platform and operating system
Global Calendar uses standard Notes functionality, which makes Global Calendar independent of platform and operating system. No installation on the individual workstations is required and all normal Notes functions remain intact.
