Symfoni

Paper2Symfoni is integrated with standard network scanners and utilizes standard e-mail protocol to receive scanned documents.

The solution contains easy functionality for transferring scanned documents to the Symfoni process system Document Manager, enabling all documents pertaining to a topic/case/ project to be stored together.

Paper2Symfoni can also be used with advanced scanning solutions for feed scanning (large amounts) and OCR. To achieve this, Paper2Symfoni has integration with Xerox FlowPort TM, where single documents or multiple documents can be scanned and converted to digital documents. Digital documents can be stored in several different formats such as PDF, Searchable PDF, TIF or RTF.

With Xerox FlowPort TM and Paper2Symfoni the enterprise receives a scanning, conversion and distribution solution for documents that contributes to eliminating bottlenecks related to paper intensive business processes by merging paper documents into document management systems.

Paper2Symfoni can also be integrated with other distribution and conversion programs such as Lexmark Document Distributor and HP Auto store.

Technical requirements:
Paper2Symfoni is developed in Notes R5, and requires a Notes R5 server/client. The server must be configured to run SMTP-mail.

Xerox FlowPort TM
Runs on the operating system Windows 2000 Server or Windows NT 4.0. The program is server based utilizing a normal browser and does not require a separate client installation.

Scanner
The solution is based on the use of network scanners using the technology Scan To Mail*(also known as Internet-fax). Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark and Canon deliver scanners with this technology.
